About us
Long before it became a stop...
La Mora was already a story
La Mora did not start out as just a simple roadside stop. It was founded by a family who, through hard work, vision and a strong sense of responsibility, saw that first service point grow into a well-known spot for local residents, travellers and people who pass along the A-92 every day.
Over the years, that original spirit has not been lost. It has grown, modernised and adapted to the times, but it remains the same: a family-run business, with a friendly atmosphere, hard-working staff and a kitchen that serves up proper food.

‘The project was born out of the efforts of a family with roots in Huétor Santillán and a firm belief: a job well done always pays off.’
The beginning
1976: the beginning of a story by the roadside
It all began in 1976 with a petrol station rooted in family effort, the need to get ahead, and a work ethic characterised by perseverance. What started as a small service station gradually became the foundation of a project that would continue to grow over time.

“My grandfather, through the work of his hands, paved the way that lives on today in every table, every plate and every person who visits La Mora.”
That first business marked the beginning of a way of doing things: serving customers quickly, looking after those just passing through, and always maintaining a close relationship with those who return time and time again.
That seed, sown almost fifty years ago, is the very same one that has given rise to the restaurant and service area that is now La Mora.
